Technip has identified Canada as a future floating liquefaction market alongside the Arctic and Africa.



Philip Hagyard, senior vice president of the French company’s LNG and gas-to-liquids business, told analysts the areas are “longer term” possibilities.



In a presentation, he said high onshore construction costs favoured Canada’s west coast for near-shore FLNG solutions and the east coast, where there is a significant amount of untapped gas off Newfoundland and Labrador, for true offshore FLNG developments.
