Market entrant Stena Bulk has crashed the six-figure charter rate barrier for the first of its LNG newbuildings and expects a higher level still on its sistership.
Company president Ulf Ryder confirmed the 174,000-cbm newbuilding Stena Crystal Sky (pictured), which is due to be delivered from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in mid-July, has been fixed at a rate of $110,000 per day.
