Singapore in Statoil’s LNG sights

Norwegian gas player Statoil is musing establishing an LNG trading desk in Singapore as it looks to boost its LNG work.

“We are assessing and evaluating to set up an LNG trading desk in Singapore, and this is part of our constant development of our LNG business,” said a Statoil spokesman.

Singapore already plays host to a company office which handles the sales and marketing of crude oil, refined products and natural gas liquids.
