Energy major Shell has signed a preliminary deal with state-owned Taiwanese importer CPC Corporation for of 2 million tonnes per annum of LNG.
Under a heads of agreement signed in Taipei and Singapore, CPC will receive the fuel from Shell’s global portfolio for 20 years, starting in 2016.
Detailed sale and purchase agreements are expected to be completed in the coming months.
