US regulators have granted preliminary approval for a second vapour dispersion model put forward to end a permitting logjam for LNG facilities.



The Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s draft decision on the offering from consultancy GexCon will go into full effect after a 30-day comment period.Classification society DNV won similar consent for its so-called PHAST-UDM model last month, which is still undergoing the public review process.
