Santos is expected to have more room to push feedstock gas into the GLNG export plant in Queensland after its takeover of Eastern Star Gas, despite the deal’s domestic focus.
The transaction also puts the spotlight on another exploration outfit, Bow Energy, as the next coalbed methane player most likely to be targeted for acquisition to supply LNG projects in eastern Australia, according to analysts.
