GNL Quintero’s board has approved a project to expand capacity at its LNG import terminal in Chile.
The facility located in Quintero bay in Chile’s Valparaiso region is set to gain additional capacity of nearly 5 million cubic metres per day through the installation of a new vapouriser. Two are currently in operation.
The $30 million expansion will take an estimated 17 to 21 months to complete, with the project set to be available by the first half of 2014.
