Sempra LNG’s planned Port Arthur import terminal in Texas has officially been scrapped.
The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has vacated its earlier permits for the facility and the accompanying two gas pipelines after they expired two months ago.
Terminal operator Port Arthur LNG had been planning to build a 1.5 billion to 3 billion cubic feet per day facility along the Port Arthur Ship Canal on the Gulf of Mexico.
