Pakistan has tendered for the supply of 500 million cubic feet per day of LNG for up to 10 years.
The government is inviting expressions of interest from foreign and domestic companies until 27 June, with supply set to start in the first or second quarter of 2012.
Whichever company wins the deal could also set up a regasification terminal in Pakistan, according to Pakistani website Dawn.com.
