Oman has held fresh talks with Iran about tapping the $12 billion Kish Island gas field to feed its Qalhat LNG plant, according to Iranian officials.
The sultanate said earlier this year that it was postponing by at least 12 months its plan to finance the project while Iran claimed it would proceed anyway.
Oman signed a preliminary pact in 2008 effectively to finance the development of the estimated 50 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves at Kish.
