Norwegian distributor Gasnor and compatriot engineer Aker Solutions are finally set to test a new small-scale LNG storage tank.
A prototype of the unit, which is designed to be used to store LNG as fuel for ships and fishing boats, was supposed to go into operation at Gasnor’s Snurrevarden plant in Karmot on the south-west coast in June.
However, issues arose with the tank’s extrusion dies, which meant new ones had to be made.
