Spanish energy outfit Repsol has seen LNG operating income rise 238% to €115 million ($163 million) in the first quarter.
The segment provided some of Repsol’s “best results” to help contribute to an overall net profit boost to €765 million, an 11.2% jump compared to the same period last year.
According to the company, the growth in LNG is based on a rise in sales volume “primarily in Peru LNG, Canaport (Canada), and higher marketing margins”.
