Liquidity has continued to elude the project finance market, sending would-be LNG producers to export credit agencies or securities markets for backing.



Yemen LNG, which went live early last year, was the most recent production development to make the grade.



That does not necessarily mean project financing has completely dried up since then.



Energy projects continue to find backing, and players argue that the credit crunch was not as bad for this sector as it was for others.



However,
