Lebanon will shortly sign on a project consultant for its maiden LNG terminal. A company has been selected and a deal should be finalised within weeks, said a source close to the development.
Lebanon recently secured financing from the World Bank for the contract.
The project consultant will be tasked with developing an import strategy and running a construction study to determine the ideal capacity and whether to pursue a land-based or floating terminal.
