Lebanon expects to shortlist parties vying to develop its maiden LNG import terminal by the end of this month.
“A good number of international, well-experienced and known companies” submitted interest in the job by the 4 June cut-off date attached to the initial bidding round, according to a government source.
Evaluation is now under way. The successful companies will be pre-qualified by the end of June to allow them to take part in a request for proposals stage, which will be developed “within the coming four to five months”.
