Italy has given the go ahead to two LNG receiving terminals in a matter of weeks.
After being tied up in red tape since 2004, a Council of State ruling will allow Enel’s Porto Empedocle terminal in Sicily to proceed.
The Falconara project got the all clear just last week after battling the system since 2008.
This leaves Italy with three fully permitted import plants and two in operation.
