ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil have officially announced an almost four-month extension of operations at the Kenai LNG plant in Alaska to provide four extra cargoes to Asia.
The operators had been set to mothball the facility this month due to what they described as “deteriorating market conditions”, but increased LNG demand in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami has changed the game in the short-term.
