Cyprus is rethinking its entire gas strategy in the wake of developments in neighbouring Israel and a government reshuffle in Nicosia.
Plans to set up a maiden LNG import terminal have come up against proposals to build a liquefaction facility in Cyprus to process gas from Israel’s offshore Leviathan field, where reserves run to 16 trillion cubic feet.
