Iran has vowed to continue with the integrated Pars LNG-South Pars phase 11 project on its own if French major Total drops out due to political pressure from the French and US governments.
Iran’s ability to do so, however, is questioned by experts who point to its difficulties with two other similar schemes - the Persian LNG-Phases 13&14 project with Shell-Repsol YPF and its own Iran LNG-Phase 12 scheme where Austria ’s OMV has been discussing a possible stake.
