India’s oil ministry confirmed that the country is hoping to receive 5 million tonnes per annum of LNG from Indonesia.
The ministry also said that state-run Gail may consider taking a stake in Brunei’s oil and gas exploration and production to help secure LNG supplies, according to media reports.
This comes as negotiations are underway for new deals at Brunei LNG, where long-term contracts expire in March 2013.
