Queensland oil and gas outfit Icon Energy has secured a deal to supply over 40 million tonnes of LNG to Shantou SinoEnergy over a 20 year period.
The LNG will supply Shantou’s planned $ 727 million regasification terminal on Nan’ao Island near Shantou.
Under the agreement, Icon will provide the commissioning cargo to the 3 million tonnes per annum facility on 30 June 2016.
