Energy exploration company Inpex is close to sewing up the entire capacity of its Ichthys LNG project in north-west Australia.
All 8.4 million tonnes per annum of capacity has now been accounted for after new preliminary deals were agreed with Asian players and marketing efforts with Japanese outfits near completion.
Under the agreements, Japanese player Chubu Electric Power will be privy to 490,000 tpa of the project’s volumes, whilst compatriot Toho Gas will snag 280,000 tpa and Taiwanese buyer CPC is also in line for 1.75
