Puerto Rico’s EcoElectrica has received the thumbs up to begin initial site preparation for its expansion project at the Caribbean island’s lone regasification terminal.
The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission this week gave its consent for the work at the Penuelas facility after deferring approval in May.
EcoElectrica can now kick off activities as the FERC claims a filing made in June “adequately addresses our preliminary concerns” regarding vapour dispersion analysis, although further review is needed.
