National Grid of the UK has ordered the construction of a new import pipeline at its Grain LNG import terminal to the east of London.
CB&I said it is being contracted to “install an additional LNG import pipeline”, adding the project is “proceeding to schedule”.
The gas grid company confirmed a second cryogenic line is being built at the site but said details remain confidential.
Meanwhile, Grain LNG has had a slack start to the year with just 15 cargoes delivered between January and June.
