Subsea7 has been awarded an $80 million contract to install umbilical pipelines and other hardware at the deep-water Gorgon and Jansz fields off Western Australia.
The pipes are 59 kilometres and 135 kilometres in length, respectively. They will carry feedstock gas to the Gorgon LNG project.
The pipes will be transported from Europe to Australia on board the vessel Seven Seas and then installed in water depths of up to 1350 metres using the flex-lay system, said Subsea7.
