John Fredriksen-controlled Golar LNG has grasped 99.4% of its Golar LNG Energy offshoot following the close of a voluntary share offer.

Golar LNG had given existing shareholders in its spin-off until yesterday to accept the 26.80 kroner ($4.94) per share proposition which resulted in the acquisition of over 10 million more shares.

Once the acceptances are finalised, Golar should hold 236.6 million shares in Golar LNG Energy.
