Golar buys yet more shares in spin-off

Norwegian shipowner Golar LNG has today purchased a further 9 million shares for 241.6 million kroner ($45.7 million) in its corporate spin-off Golar LNG Energy.

The move sees the John Fredriksen-controlled outfit take 94.2% ownership of Norway-listed Golar LNG Energy with over 224 million shares.

Earlier this week, Golar LNG boosted its stake in the spin-off from 61.1% to 90.5% following two share transactions.
