John Fredriksen-controlled shipping giant Golar LNG has bolstered its ownership of Golar LNG Energy from 61.1% to 90.5% following two share transactions.
International institutional investors have sold the parent company 36.3 million shares in Golar LNG Energy, whilst a second transaction will see Fredriksen’s World Shipholding Limited sell 33.5 million shares to take the total share sale to 69.8 million.
As payment, the sellers will receive one new share in Golar LNG for every 6.06
