GDF Suez has lifted its first cargo under its long-term contract with new start-up Yemen LNG.



The 145,700-cbm Maran Gas Coronis (built 2007) loaded a cargo from YLNG’s Balhaf plant for shipment to the company’s capacity at the UK’s Isle of Grain receiving terminal.



GDF Suez has contracted to buy 2.55 million tonnes per annum of LNG or 40% of YLNG’s output over a 20-year period.



The
