Eight companies have submitted expressions of interest for what could become Indonesia’s third floating LNG import project.
Contenders including the current top three regasification players Golar LNG, Excelerate Energy and Hoegh LNG are understood to have declared their hand for state energy company Pertamina’s east-central Java FSRU.
The others throwing their hat in the ring are Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines, Awilco LNG of Norway, conversion specialist SBM, Malaysian giant MISC, and an Indonesian tanker owner.
