Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines is believed to have chartered out the last of its handful of 1970s-built vessels.
Korea Gas has fixed the 126,300-cbm LNG Aquarius (built 1977) for short-term business from the third quarter, according to market talk.
A charter rate in the $60,000s per day range has been rumoured although others suggested the figure started with a ‘5’.
There is also talk that MOL may have lined up some longer-term employment for the ship after this.
