Apache Corporation is aiming to tie up sales deals for 85% of the LNG from the Kitimat project in Canada this year.
“We will offer stakes in upstream, midstream and downstream to buyers,” general manager of LNG marketing at Apache, Mate Parentich, said at the Asia Oil and Gas conference in Kuala Lumpur.
He added that Apache may take a final investment decision on the 5 million tonne per annum facility early next and could start shipments in 2015, according to Bloomberg.
