El Paso Corporation is putting the brakes on a second phase of expansion planned for the Elba Island LNG import terminal in Georgia.
Subsidiary Southern LNG, which runs the US facility, said there is no longer a need for a further 200,000 cubic-metre storage tank and new submerged combustion vaporisers.
The expansion would have lifted regas capacity by 495 million cubic feet per day.
