South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering expects a shipowner will place an order for a large size vessel that will use LNG as a fuel in the next six months.
A DSME spokesman said an owner has plans to install the yard’s new high-pressure fuelled gas supply (HP-FGS) system developed for use in MAN-Diesel & Turbo’s so called ME-GI gas injection engine on a number of optional LNG carrier newbuildings it is holding at the yard.
