Chevron is set to appeal some of the conditions attached to Western Australia’s environmental approval of its Wheatstone LNG export project.
The state Environmental Protection Authority made the call for the government to impose some terms to the permit earlier this month. The US supermajor would not reveal details.
“We are confident that we can continue to demonstrate that the Wheatstone project can be developed in a manner that is environmentally responsible,” a Chevron spokesman told the Dow Jones newswire.
