Cheniere Energy has quietly dropped a lawsuit against a major bondholder, legal records show.
The Sabine Pass LNG terminal operator, which has been pursuing a liquefaction project at the facility, said in legal documents that the dismissal leaves open the possibility of re-filing its allegation against hedge fund Centerbridge Partners.
The company filed a lawsuit in Texas’ Clark County Court in March accusing Centerbridge of working to build a coalition of bondholders to declare its debt securities in default.
