Edinburgh-based explorer Bowleven has signed a deal to supply gas to Cameroon’s planned LNG export project.
The deal was signed with GDF Suez and the state-owned SNH, which aim to source enough feedstock in Cameroon to justify building an LNG plant at Kribi.
Bowleven’s gas would come from its offshore Etinde permit that comprises blocks MLHP-5, 6 and 7.
On 30 June, GDF Suez, SNH and the Etinde joint venture agreed a term sheet that includes the principles intended to govern the sale and purchase of gas to the proposed LNG facility.
