The Galician regional council in northern Spain has approved new zoning permits for Reganosa’s LNG terminal in Mugardos after previous permits suffered a legal defeat.
A full environmental impact assessment has been carried out, addressing the key failure that sank the prior regulatory process.
Earlier this month, Spain’s Supreme Court, the highest for non-constitutional matters, upheld a Galician regional court ruling in 2008 that threw out zoning approval for the Reganosa site on the outskirts of Ferrol.
