Indonesia’s first LNG floating storage and regasification unit is due to leave Singapore next week en route to its new berth off West Java.

Golar LNG and Pertamina-led project developer Nusantara Regas Satu are hosting a naming ceremony on Thursday at Jurong Shipyard where the vessel has been undergoing conversion.

The unit is to be given a new name by Pertamina chief executive Karen Agustiawan, after which it is due to head off for Indonesia.

The FSRU, the former Golar LNG carrier Khannur, is due on station 15 kilometres off the Java coastline at the end of April.

Commissioning works for the 500 million cubic feet per day unit will follow.
