South Korean shipbuilder DSME held a steel cuttingceremony to mark the start of construction work on the world’s largest floatingstorage and regasifiation unit.
Once complete, Excelerate Energy’s 173,000-cbm unit will bestationed in Guanabara Bay, Brazil.
Under a 15-year charter agreement, Brazil’s Petrobras willuse the FSRU at the existing import facility in Guanabara. The older unitcurrently acting as the regas terminal will be moved to another location off Bahiastate.
