Cuba plans to develop a 2 million tonnes per annum LNG project that will be supplied by Venezuela.
The $400 million facility, to be located in Cienfuegos harbour, would include a pipeline send-out system to feed the country’s power generation sector.
Sources said designers will focus on two trains of 1 million tpa each.
“The project and investment is taking place with Venezuela’s PDVSA,” said a Cuban official.
