US authorities have given the Gulf LNG Energy import project the all-clear to begin operations.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said the 1.3 billion cubic feet per day terminal and its 5-mile pipeline have met safety requirements.
The two-tank, 1.3 billion cubic feet per day facility was built in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to receive volumes from the Angola LNG project. Partners are US-based independent El Paso and financial player Crest with Angola’s Sonangol.
