Uruguay aims to launch the official bidding process on 15 August for the South American country’s first LNG import terminal, according to Energy Minister Roberto Kreimerman.
The floating facility will be managed by Gas Sayago, a joint venture of state power and oil companies UTE and Ancap. A 45-day pre-qualification period is expected, according to the minister. Winners will be named on the joint venture’s new website.
