Uruguay has settled on a contracting model for the supply of its planned GNL del Plata regasification terminal.
A request for proposals is set to be launched at the end of the first quarter of 2012 to find a contractor under a build, own, operate, transfer (BOOT) scheme, said Pablo Mosto, regas team co-ordinator at project shareholder UTE.
The Gas Sayago operating joint venture, made up of UTE and compatriot Ancap, is developing GNL del Plata as a 10 million cubic metres per day facility, which could be expanded to 15 MMcmd.
