Spain’s Enagas is preparing to dismantle two storage tanks at its largest import terminal at Barcelona (pictured).



Tanks one and two, both concrete and with a storage capacity of 40,000 cubic metres each, are set to be destroyed after “years working without problems”, said a company executive at the LNG Tech conference in Rotterdam this month.



The storage units are expected to come down next year but the Spanish government must first issue a licence for the work.
