Chile’s GasAtacama has short-listed three companies to provide a floating storage and regasification unit.
The line-up comprises Golar, Hoegh LNG and a third outfit from Norway, industry sources said.
Excelerate Energy and Teekay do not appear to be going forward.
GasAtacama is seeking a regasification vessel capable of supplying around 150 million to 200 million cubic feet per day of gas to meet an anticipated surge in demand from its mining customers from 2015.
