Enagas is awaiting administrative approval to decommission a third storage tank at its Barcelona LNG terminal.



The Spanish company, which operates the country’s gas grid, is seeking to remove an 80,000 cubic-metre tank built in 1976. A time frame for the work is not known, a source said.



Enagas already has plans to decommission a pair of 40,000 cubic-metre tanks next year and has completed construction of a new 150,000 cubic-metre unit.
