• Klaipedos Nafta has signed a deal with the KlaipedaState Seaport to develop infrastructure for Lithuania’s first LNG terminal.

The agreement formalisescooperation on dredging works and navigation studies required for the plannedimport facility, which will use a floating storage and regasification unitprovided by Norway’s Hoegh LNG.

The deal will also seeKlaipedos Nafta develop and finance port infrastructure needed for the LNGterminal. The port authority, which under Lithuanian law must own the portinfrastructure, will then compensate Klaipeda for the cost of the works.
