Excelerate Energy is in talks with contractor Technica to design topsides for the berthing platform at its planned LNG terminal in Puerto Rico.
The floating regas specialist said it has also completed geophysical surveys for the Aguirre GasPort. Panamerican Consultant helped with the magnetometer work as part of an underwater cultural resource assessment, Excelerate said in a recent filing with the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The FERC, meanwhile, has requested more information in the developer’s next draft environmental resource reports, which are due to be filed in May.
This includes details on the process that led the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority to choose Excelerate to provide the floating storage and regasification unit.
