Jamaican plans to issue a final request for proposals for LNG supply have slipped as the government works to complete a draft sales and purchase agreement.
The cabinet’s LNG Steering Committee was due to launch the process mid-May but the tender will now go live “over the next couple of weeks”, according to a source.
“We are incorporating comments from the short-listed bidders into the final draft SPA, which will be attached to the request for proposals.”
The government received six offers in the initial round and whittled these down to a shortlist.
